Qualification Guidelines...

  1. Nominee must be a diagnosed cancer patient of any age.
  2. Nominee must be referred by a healthcare professional within the networks such as Centura/Adventis, Kaiser Permanente, the ACS's Patient Navigators, The Children's Hospital, PoudreVH as well as a growing list of physicians and cancer support groups.
  3. Nominee is required to be accompanied by spouse, significant other, siblings, adult child, parent or caregiver.
  4. Domus Pacis Family Respite realizes the importance of family, either biological or by choice. Therefore we will be willing to consider a "family unit" consisting of two to twelve people including children.
  5. No pets are allowed to participate.
  6. Smoking in the home and/or any illegal substance usage by any of the participants will not be tolerated.
  7. Nominated family members must fill out appropriate paperwork and return it to Domus Pacis Family Respite staff.
  8. Nominated family must be willing to provide a credit card number as part of the donated property usage agreement.
  9. Nominee and the Domus Pacis Family Respite Board must feel comfortable that the mission of DPFR will be fulfilled by a family's respite.
  10. Nominee may not be eligible if they have previously received another donated trip from an organization.
  11. If it becomes necessary for a nominee to cancel, Domus Pacis Family Respite must be informed immediately by phone AND with follow-up written communication.
